Gemma Comfort Creature

Introducing one-of-a-kind Comfort Creatures. These soft friends capture a feeling or fleeting thought, at the moment of creation, bestowing each one with a distinct personality. Far from the ordinary, every piece is a hand-stitched textile sculpture. Crafted from a mix of soft linens, bold stripes, floral prints, and repurposed fabrics. Each creature is filled with cotton and weighted beads, designed to rest comfortably in your hands or home. 

Comfort Creatures are made by Sonia Otharsson – a Boston, MA-based textile artist bringing color, texture, and character into everyday spaces. Her work combines technical craft with contemporary palettes to create modern heirlooms, quilts, and custom costumes.
