Product Information

Organic is something Libeco believes deeply in, as a way of life, not as a trend. This organic collection is GOTS-certified and is produced locally every step of the way. The team at Libeco loves knowing that people all over the world are sleeping in organic linen.

Libeco is fortunate to have met and spent time with the farmers growing the flax that they use in the Heritage collection, and they are some of the most passionate ‘organic’ people they’ve come across. Over the past decade, these farmers have been perfecting techniques from the past to be able to grow great flax, organically.

      Full/Queen: 21" x 33"

      King: 21" x 44"

      100% organic linen

      GOTS-certified

All of Libeco's linen is woven in Belgium. The fabric is inspected yard by yard and mended by hand where necessary. LIbeco's products are made with great care, for the product, but also for the environment. Over the last few years, they have again made significant steps by becoming a CO2 neutral company and by launching a 100% organic linen collection. Libeco's vision is corporate sustainability for a viable future.

Meanwhile, the fifth generation of the Libeert family is managing the company.

              About the Maker

Linen is one of the most sustainable fabrics in the world. The flax fiber is grown locally. Our region, Western Europe, has the best climate for growing flax. There is no waste and the flax needs no irrigation. These are only a few examples of how flax can reduce the impact textile production has on our environment. But linen is also extremely versatile. Did you know it was the foremost technical fiber for over a thousand years? It is extremely strong and lasts a lifetime. The Romans called it linum usitatissimum, which means “most useful fiber”.
By putting these advantages to use, we perfected our production process over the years and managed to make high quality linen with a minimal impact. We are a Belgian based family company that has experience in linen for over 160 years. Today, the Libeert family is still actively in business and the 5th generation is still as innovating and leading as the first. Mr. Raymond Libeert is Chairman of the Board and his wife, Amy, designer of our Home Collections.
