Berkeley Ergonomics

For over 25 years, Berkeley Ergonomics has crafted sustainable, chemically-safe mattresses that promote better sleep and offer long-lasting durability. All mattresses, foundations, toppers, and pillows are handmade in California with certified components imported from Germany, The Netherlands, England, and France. Ergonomics takes the knowledge of anatomy and physiology and combines it with an understanding of engineering and mechanics to maximize a product’s performance. Berkeley Ergonomics uses ortho-engineering and sustainable practices to create comfortable, high-performing sleep products.

Viewing sleep as a vital source of health and wellness, Berkeley Ergonomics carefully sources clean, natural components to provide a safe sleep environment. All mattress materials are 100% organic or natural. They use 100% natural Talalay latex, derived from the rubber tree and free of petrochemicals. The latex is also 100% natural Cradle to Cradle GOLD certified. All wood components come from sustainable forests in Canada and Europe (with FSC Certification). The stretch cotton knit is made in Germany with 100% organic cotton in a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified factory. All wool for the pillows and mattresses are 100% pure Plein Air wool. These natural materials translate to a cooler, more breathable sleeping environment, helping you sleep deeper and more peacefully throughout the night.

Berkeley Ergonomics values openness and transparency. All their mattresses feature a zippered cover – to allow the components to be inspected and exchanged. This takes the mystery out of mattress shopping, making it easy to tailor the mattress to your body’s needs. The team is well-versed in all products, meaning each customer is fully involved in the process from beginning to end. With Berkeley Ergonomics, better sleep begins with a night of healthy, sustainable, and comfortable sleep.
